Membership Information Please Read Prior To Applying
Eligibility
(a)
The membership of the
Corporation, hereinafter known as Active Members, shall consist of persons
who are retired members, both sworn and civilian, of the United States Park
Police (Force). Only members in good standing have voting privilege.
(b)
Others may join as non voting
members, hereinafter known as Associate Members, if they are currently sworn
or civilian members of the United States Park Police,
active or retired law enforcement personnel from other law
enforcement agencies; and,
(c)
other reputable persons who
are fully or partially engaged in any of the various phases of law
enforcement. The aforementioned Associate Member applicants must be
recommended by a Member of the Association in good standing.
(d)
Spouses of deceased
Association or Force members will be eligible for lifetime membership,
hereinafter known as Honorary Members.
(e)
Preliminary administrative
approval or disapproval of all membership applications is to be made by the
President, Vice President or Secretary/Treasurer in conformance with these
BY-LAWS. Final approval/disapproval shall be made by the Board of Directors.
(f)
The Board of Directors shall
establish and define classifications of membership in the Corporation.
These classifications may be changed and amended from time to time as deemed
appropriate by the Board.
